Shetu Inc. invites the Queens community to participate in a candidate forum for the June 2019 primary elections for the position of Queens District Attorney (DA). Current Queens DA Richard A. Brown is retiring after 28 years, and your vote on June 25 could have impacts on your community for decades. Come meet all 7 registered candidates who want to be YOUR next DA, and learn how they will investigate and prosecute cases like neighborhood crimes, hate crimes, sex crimes, and crimes that could impact people with different immigrant statuses.
The candidate forum will take place on Tuesday, April 30, 6:45 PM – 9:00 PM at Bellozino Party Hall, 72-11 Roosevelt Ave., Jackson Heights, Queens. Take the 7 train to 74th Street/Broadway station or the E/F/M/R trains to Jackson Heights/Roosevelt Ave. station. The venue is wheelchair-accessible, and no ID or purchase is necessary to attend.
