Every year, Shetu family welcomes the Bengali New Year পহেলা বৈশাখ with family, friends and well-wishers. The celebratory evening is usually filled with various activities, interactive games, Bengali food, show-stopping cultural performances by talented members, ending with an attractive prize giving ceremony and raffle draw. Our purpose of this event is to provide educational and recreational activities for families in New York, where Bangladeshis from all walks of life gather in a single space to celebrate the strength and success of our community. The event also provides for great entrepreneurial opportunities for individuals or small boutiques to sell ethnic foods, clothing etc.
